The ZS Strings Student Series VLA 100 Viola offers a significant step up from the basic instruments commonly found in student rental fleets. Built with a carved spruce top and attractive two-piece maple back, the VLA 100 is selected for a warm, responsive sound, comfortable playability, and the ability to continue serving a student as their playing develops.
Each VLA 100 is professionally inspected, adjusted, and set up by ZS Strings before it reaches the player. The viola features ebony fittings, a Wittner tailpiece with four integrated fine tuners, and Pirastro Tonica or comparable strings selected for a balanced, responsive setup.
Available in 14", 15", and 15.5" sizes.

Every VLA 100 is individually inspected and adjusted by ZS Strings for tone, response, comfortable action, and reliable playability. Normal adjustments and warranty work are also supported by ZS Strings.
The result is a student viola intended to provide a strong foundation for beginning players while offering enough quality and response to continue with them as their skills advance.

Rent to Own from $35.25/month for 24 months
Rent for as long as you need, return the instrument if your needs change, or complete all 24 monthly payments and the viola is yours to keep.
There is no additional final buyout payment, and the remaining balance may be paid off early at any time with no early-payoff fee.
Size exchanges are available as growing players move into larger instruments, subject to ZS Strings' normal trade-up and instrument-condition policies.
